The Pennsylvania Manufacturing Extension Partnership (PA MEP) is part of a national network of service providers who are dedicated to serving small and medium sized manufacturers.

Through its network of regional and national partners, the PA MEP helps manufacturers improve their productivity and technological performance to create a positive impact for their business and an enduring economic impact in their communities and in Pennsylvania.

Manufacturing is critical to Pennsylvania’s economy and represents 12% of the total gross state product. According to the U.S. Policy Institute, Pennsylvania ranks 5th in the nation among all the states in manufacturing employment.

Manufacturing businesses provide over 578,000 jobs in Pennsylvania, representing approximately one out of every 11 jobs in the state while small and medium sized manufacturers make up more than 92 percent of Pennsylvania’s manufacturing base.
